"Atlas of Oklahoma Climate"

by Howard L. Johnson and Claude E. Duchon Published by the University of Oklahoma Press This atlas is designed to provide a ready reference for examining the characteristics of Oklahoma's climate. Maps and charts depicting long-term averages and frequency distributions of selected climatological variables are presented to enable the reader to ascertain "how much" and "how often". The atlas can be ordered at any bookstore using ISBN 0-8061-2689-2.

Oklahoma Monthly Summary

The monthly data summary, prepared by OCS staff, is distributed each month to over 550 subscribers, most of whom live in Oklahoma. The summary, with its extensive collection of maps and tables, provides information that is used commonly in engineering and agricultural applications. The Oklahoma Mesonet Brochure

"The Oklahoma Mesonet Brochure" is an eight-page, full-color brochure suitable for schools and individuals. It describes the Oklahoma Mesonet, its data and display software, and some of Mesonet's benefits to Oklahoma. These free brochures can be obtained by contacting the OCS main office.

Oklahoma Weather and Climate Brochure

"The Weather and Climate of Oklahoma" is a tri-fold brochure suitable for schools and individuals and is distributed to tourist information centers statewide. These free brochures can be obtained by contacting the OCS main office.

Research Articles

The Oklahoma Climatological Survey operates pro-active research and technology-transfer programs that relate to Oklahoma, national, and international weather and climate. OCS employees write articles for research journals and present results of their work at national and international conferences.
